With local Pacific Northwest flora as muse, my work embodies women’s connection to nature. It highlights the magic inside the earth and our bodies by using an iron rich clay as medium that binds our blood to the soil. I have researched the history of dominion over nature and women, and how they coevolved to create the world we live in now. This work is about both the personal healing process and the societal history of dominion: how we can, heal, grow, and rise up from the ascendance placed upon us.
